The Handbag Our Editor Can’t Stop Wearing Now Comes in a Petite Version for Spring

Here at T&C, our love for Cuyana’s minimalist leather goods is limitless. From the work totes and weekenders to the travel cases and beauty organizers, we have never met a Cuyana product we didn’t love. But if our editors had to choose one specific style that stands out from the rest for spring 2025? The Celestia, hands down.

After the sustainably-minded brand launched the croissant-shaped purse last fall, it instantly rose up the fashion ranks and hit cult-status. In fact, according to Cuyana, the Celestia attracted the highest number of new customers for a single launch and caused numerous waitlists. It even became one of T&C digital lifestyle director Roxanne Adamiyatt’s most carried purses. “I can’t tell you how many people have stopped me in the street—so lets just say it’s dozens at this point—to ask where I got it,” she previously said. “And the hardware? It’s the perfect embellishment for a sculptural piece. It feels like something that will look just as fab once the trend fades.”

The Celestia’s popularity became so viral that Cuyana introduced a larger rendition this past winter—and now, a petite version just in time for warmer weather. Currently available to shop, the Mini Celestia is just-as-elevated as the OG style and still retains many of the signature hallmarks, like the sleek croissant silhouette crafted of buttery lamb leather and sculptural gold hardware. Compactly sized at 5.3 in. x 10 in, the chic shoulder bag can hold your phone, keys, wallet, sunglasses, lipsticks, and other small essentials. And like the sister versions, it can easily transition from day to night.

The Mini Celestia retails for $328 and comes in black, dark chestnut, and a forest green shade for spring. Judging by how hard it was for Cuyana to keep the oversized and original versions in stock, we fully expect the new iteration to sell out almost instantly. So our advice? Shop now! Mother’s Day is coming up after all…

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
