The Best Handbags of New York Fashion Week Fall 2025

Handbags are the anchor and driving sales force of many a luxury brand, so in a season that felt like a reckoning with the status of American luxury, bags came particularly into the spotlight. While much of what we saw extended the theme of clean, classic, and polished commercial appeal, many designers also saw handbags as an opportunity to inject creativity and character into their collections.

Coach updated its classics with extra pockets and a fun take on the trend of bag charms and hyper-personalization. Veronica Leoni’s new proposal for Calvin Klein included both timeless minimalism and more playful investigations of texture and form. After debuting its first bag last season, the Snap, Eckhaus Latta continued to refine the design as well as partnering with leather design studio Ecco.Kollektive. Michael Kors, Aknvas, Tory Burch, and Luar extended the trending fur revival to their bags, while Carolina Herrera and Simkhai got bejewled.

Here’s a closer look at The Impression’s picks for the best bags of the Fall 2025 runway season in New York.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
