A man in Tennessee said he was in bed when he was shot by his dog.

The man, who has not been identified, said he was “laying on his bed” with a female friend in the early hours of Monday when his dog “jumped on the bed and got his paw stuck in the trigger guard” accidentally setting it off, the Memphis Police Department said in a news release Monday.

The bullet discharged by the gun grazed the victim “in his top left thigh,” police said.

Gunshot said to be accidental injury

Authorities said they were alerted of the “accidental injury” incident around 3:50 a.m. Monday. While the victim/complainant’s friend left the scene with the gun after the incident, “one spent shell casings on the front room floor” were located by officers, police said.

The victim was transported to a local hospital in non-critical condition. An update on his health was not immediately available and the Memphis Police Department said they had no further information to offer at this point on the incident.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
