Electra Police and Animal Control took 19 living dogs and cats from an Electra home Tuesday and found four dead dogs and six dead cats in a freezer at the home.
The officers had a warrant to seize all dogs from a residence on East Summit Street.
According to an affidavit, officers were met at the door by a woman who refused to let them in and struggled when they tried to restrain her. The woman was arrested on misdemeanor charges of Interfering with Public Duty and Resisting Arrest. She was released from custody on Wednesday.
Child Protective Services was also called to the scene.
A Facebook post from Electra Police said Animal Control Services from Iowa Park helped retreive and house the surviving animals.
The post said an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
