Tallest and shortest dogs in the world meet in Idaho for Guinness Record

IDAHO — Two record-breaking dogs, Pearl and Reggie, recently met in Idaho, capturing the attention of dog lovers across the country. Pearl, a 3.6-inch-tall Chihuahua, is the world’s shortest living dog, while Reggie, a Great Dane from Idaho Falls, stands at 3 feet 4 inches, making him the tallest.

According to the Guinness World Records, Pearl and her owner, Vanesa Semler, traveled from Florida to Idaho to meet Reggie and his owner, Sam Johnson Reiss. When the dogs first met, Pearl remained in Semler’s hands as Reggie gently greeted her. The two quickly grew comfortable, playing together and posing for photos.

“He’s very, very cautious and aware,” Johnson Reiss said of Reggie’s interaction with Pearl. “I anticipate that he will be really good with her and probably be more interested in Pearl’s owner than maybe Pearl herself,” they added.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
