I’ve been putting this post off, but also I’ve been pinned beyond what I thought I was capable of for the past month and a half. Here’s a life update to those of you who care. If you’ve been following my career in the moto industry to this point, you may know I’ve never been “full-time” in the industry until this past January when I was brought on officially as the editor-in-chief of Vurb. I had a blast covering one of the biggest seasons of SuperMotocross with so many storylines. I ran the Squad Pod and had the chance to work on many projects behind the scenes as well as write a bunch of awesome content. I don’t like giving myself props, and you should know I’m too awkward to accept my own praise, but I absolutely crushed it. I enjoyed every minute of it.

At the end of October I received some economic news that left me somewhat scrambling, but at the same time I had a very amazing opportunity waiting for me to further my career even more. So, I took a quick leap back into another industry and I’m really enjoying my new gig and the opportunity to grow within my new company. When a door closes another one opens.

I’ll always have a place in the moto industry. This is my life. I love it. However, with that being said, I don’t have time to contribute how I used to. So, I’ll be taking a huge step back with my role with Vurb. My approach to my content was always meant to keep it fun and entertaining and I think a lot of you out there enjoyed it. I know a fair share of you out there didn’t understand, or disliked what I did, but at the end of the day I don’t care. I wrote to be different and to stand out in a field that I’ve enjoyed since I was old enough to walk. I’m proud to say that my biggest heroes are now some of my closest friends and I’ll always have that to take with me. I’ve been with Vurb for 15 years now. Brent, Chase, Wes, and Crane are my family. Slaw Dog is not.

I enjoyed hosting the Squad Pod for a year and a half. A special thank you goes out to all of the riders and people who took the time to join the show. Some of the best conversations I’ve had were on there, so go back and listen to the archive. Chiz could have been in a David Banner video with Stew had he not gotten hurt in 2003.

I’ll see you guys at some races here and there in the future, but for the most part I’ll be taking a break from the sport. As most of you may have heard on the PulpMX Show, I’m working on a project with Jeff Emig that will keep me very busy and tied to the sport in some way. I’ll be working on this in my spare time, so please be patient…you too, Fro!

I appreciate you fans and riders out there that took time out of your days to take part in my content. Thank you all for all of the support over the years. I think we were all able to have a great time and tell a cool story here and there. DM me if you need me.

PS: Sorry I left you guys with Slaw Dog. He sucks.

PPS: as always, please email all Vurb complaints to Weege

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
