Starving dogs found dead at Davidson County man’s home, police say

Several dogs were found dead at a Davidson County man’s home, according to the Lexington Police Department. The police department said the dogs were discovered at 4:19 p.m. on Oct. 10 at a home on Williamson Street. Officers said two dogs were found dead at the home and another dog that was rescued later died at the Davidson County Animal Shelter. Officers also said they found several other dogs that were alive in a small enclosed fence area. The dogs were seized and taken to the Davidson County Animal Shelter. Officers later obtained a search warrant and discovered an additional dog inside the home.
