Stark Co. deputy shoots, kills 2 loose dogs

CANTON, Ohio (WOIO) – A Stark County Sheriff’s deputy shot and killed two dogs Sunday after they had become aggressive.

According to a release, homeowners in the 2200 block of 22nd Street NE called for help with two loose dogs.

The homeowners told the deputy they had been feeding the dogs, but after the dogs became aggressive, they called for help.

When the deputy arrived, he spoke to the homeowners through a Ring doorbell camera.

As they talked, the dogs charged at the deputy, cornering him between the home and the homeowner’s car.

The deputy then shot and killed both dogs.

According to the release, the dogs’ microchips identified their owner several miles away.

The owner told the deputy that the dogs have been running loose since May 3.

According to the release, the owner was cited for allowing dogs to be at large.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
