St. Charles County dog park closed after Blue Green Algae found

ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. (First Alert 4) – A St. Charles County dog park has been closed indefinitely after blue-green algae was found in the water.

On Monday, the St. Charles County Parks Department said the algae was found at the dog park at Broemmelsiek Park. Blue-green algae is toxic to pets and can be deadly.

Those who recently visited the park are advised to notify their veterinarian and watch for symptoms, including diarrhea, vomiting, recessive drooling, weakness, confusion, seizures and difficulty breathing. If any of the symptoms are seen, go to the veterinarian immediately.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
