The ashes of both the dog and pilot killed in a plane crash last week will be buried together. This made possible thanks to a special flight arriving in Albany Airport today, a friend of the man killed flying in to transport those ashes himself.
He was a friend of mine, said Chris Moon, pilot
Chris Moon, a friend of Seuk Kim, flew up from Virginia by request of the Kim family to pick up the ashes of Lisa the puppy who tragically died in the same plane crash, and bring them back to be buried with Seuk Kim.

I think it will mean a lot to the family to have the puppy down with the pilot, said Chris Moon, pilot
Executive Director at Schoharie Valley Animal Shelter Maggie Jackman Pryor met Moon in the lobby of the Million Air Terminal at Albany International Airport with the ashes.
This is above and beyond amazing that he would come up here. They just wanted to make sure that the puppy Lisa’s ashes made it back safely. It was very important to Sue’s family that she be buried with him so absolutely amazing that he would make this trip up here to guarantee that the ashes made it safely back to his family, said Maggie Jackman Pryor, Schoharie Valley Animal Shelter Executive Director
Pryor appreciates what the program does for her small shelter.
All of the pilots are amazing what they do is just amazing work in particular, just his personality shown through and his love of animals every time we would meet him here to pick up our dogs, said Maggie Jackman Pryor Schoharie Valley Animal Shelter Executive Director
Moon is going to continue to help out with Pilots n Paws in honor of Kim.
There is no better combination of things to do than use my airplane and do good, said Moon.
The fundraiser for the family has surpassed $140,000
Pryor gave CBS6 an update via Facebook about the other two dogs on the plane.
She said:
Whiskey had both hind legs surgically repaired so his road to recovery will be much longer. He is getting simple PT to his leg to keep it flexible and he will have a long road of PT in his future. Pluto is recovering from internal and external contusions but is doing well.
