A Mahopac woman was arrested for mistreating and later abandoning her two dogs, according to the Putnam County SPCA.
Detectives say Milo and Elly were discovered wandering around the Town of Carmel.
They were brought to a local shelter to be evaluated.
Authorities say the owner, 55-year-old Gina Riccio, faces multiple animal cruelty charges.
