“We are the “21 Dogs”, that were removed from an attic apartment in New Bedford this July.
The amount of support we received from this community left us speechless. It is because of all of YOU that our medical needs were met and we were able to move to the next step of finding our forever homes.
A huge Thank You to New Bedford Animal Control for taking this case and seeing that we were removed safely. Your dedication to the welfare of the animals in our community is amazing.

Anchor Animal Hospital, Chase Farm Veterinary Hospital, and Village Veterinary Hospital-without you none of this would have been possible. These three hospitals stepped up. Even though their schedules were already overflowing, they took on the dogs from this case and provided necessary medical care.
From spays and neuters to complex surgeries and follow up care. We are forever in your debt.
Shelters working together to save the animals is something that is imperative in the shelter world. Especially now. Thank You to Fairhaven Animal Shelter, Scituate Animal Shelter, and Furget Me Not Rescue for coming to our aid when we needed it most.

As you can see, we are happy. We will no longer live our lives in crates. We will no longer be bred endlessly for profit, we will never go with an untreated illness or injury, and we will no longer wonder anxiously what our future holds.
We are thriving in our new homes, with laps, and runs, beach trips, and cuddles. We have families who love us and make sure they show us each and every day how much.
There are still 3 of us still waiting for our forever homes, but we are not worried. We are not alone. We are not afraid. We know our family is out there and we will patiently wait for them while being spoiled by are temporary family here at Forever Paws.
