A nationwide fast food chain is reducing the price of a popular menu item for just one day.
Sonic’s 99-cent corn dogs will return to restaurants nationwide in honor of National Corn Dog Day on Saturday, March 15.
The corn dogs typically costs $3.50. Sonic added the beloved menu it in the late 1950s, according to USA Today, and the chain reduces the price every year on the food’s holiday.
“Wrapped in a sweet corn batter, these delicious dogs are fried to a crispy golden-brown perfection, making for the ultimate snack,” an online press release reads. “Whether dipped in ketchup or mustard (or maybe both!), SONIC Corn Dogs are the ultimate crowd-pleasers, perfect for a quick bite or an afternoon hangout with friends.”
Sonic also recently introduced the limited-time Strawberry Mangonada Slush. Inspired by the traditional Mexican drink, the sweet slush “features a hint of Tajín Clásico Chili Lime seasoning that’ll make your taste buds dance,” Sonic wrote.
