Some dogs still need of homes after Rio Rico hoarding situation

TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) — Some dogs still in need of homes after a dog hoarding situation in Rio Rico that initially included 36 dogs needing homes.

According to rescue group Hope of Deliverance, 36 dogs were being housed at a home in Rio Rico but the owner has decided to move away at the end of the month and can’t care for the dogs.

The animal rescue groups involved say 16 of the dogs have found new homes, but 15 dogs are still waiting.

Unfortunately, those dogs are at risk of being euthanized if they do not have loving homes within the next six days.

Bree Kishman Director of Hope of Deliverance Rescue says the remaining dogs are older and may be less likely to be adopted.

“It is a day by day situation, Fourth of July is around the corner, so when Fourth of July comes all those kennels have to be empty because they know they are going to be filled that weekend so it is literally day by day.”

If you would like to help adopt some of the dogs you are asked to contact Kishman at breekishman@gmail.com or Lane at 520-221-8106.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
