This is Oatmeal, a sweet, friendly dog, and his adoring mom, Adria.
Oatmeal is a water-loving dog who enjoys nothing more than hanging out in the pool on a sunny day. But elsewhere, like at the local dog park with other pups, he’s not as quite of a natural.
Recently, Adria took to TikTok to share an adorably endearing aspect of Oatmeal’s personality — namely, his tendency to be a bit socially awkward in the presence of other dogs.
Oatmeal isn’t shy. Far from it. He’s eager to make new friends. But he’s just not particularly smooth at going about it.

Sure, Oatmeal may be a little awkward — but that doesn’t prevent him from enjoying himself.
And lucky for him, his mom knows he’s perfect regardless.
