Smith’s hot dogs are representing Erie in the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry’s “Coolest Thing Made in PA” bracket competition.
For the third straight year, the bracket-style competition pits 64 made-in-Pennsylvania brands against each other in matchups determined by public voting.
Smith’s has reached the final 16 round — taking on PA Made Steel — in the competition, which began with first-round voting on March 18. The two-day final 16 voting round ends on Wednesday.
If Smith’s makes it to the final eight in the West bracket, they will face off against either the Eat’n Park smiley cookie or EOS Z3 battery.
The winner of the West bracket that makes it to the final four semifinals will face off against either PSU Creamery ice cream, Sheetz MTO, DelGrosso pasta sauce or Gardner’s peanut butter meltaways located in the “T” bracket.
The winner will then advance to the championship round to face the East or Central champion.
How to vote for Smith’s
To vote for Erie’s Smith’s hot dogs or to see the full list of competitors, head to the PA Chamber of Business and Industry’s website. Voting is taking place on the Chamber’s social media pages, including X, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn.
Voting in the third round ends Wednesday. Voting for the final eight round will take place Thursday and Friday.
The voting for the semifinal round or final final will take place on April 8-9. Then the championship round to determine the Coolest Thing Made in PA will be held on April 10-11.
All votes will be added together and the winner of the cumulative vote will be declared the winner.
