SLED: 3 charged, over 23 dogs seized after dog fighting investigation

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged three people after a dog-fighting investigation with over 20 dogs.

SLED charged 47-year-old Markus Brown, 69-year-old Lucille Oree, and 27-year-old Kionna Grant each face 7 counts for the ill treatment of animals, 7 counts of animal fighting, and criminal conspiracy.

Law enforcement says a total of 23 dogs were seized from two homes on Thursday, including 6 puppies.

Brown is booked at Sumter-Lee Regional Detention Center While Oree and Grant are being held at Alvin S. Glenn.
