Six Seized Dogs Die of Parvovirus at Ontario County Shelter – Finger Lakes Daily News

Six of the 11 dogs seized on February 10th from a Middle Street home in Geneva during an animal cruelty investigation have died.

Authorities say they found the Pitbulls living in deplorable conditions with urine and feces on the floor. Unfortunately, some of the dogs developed parvovirus, which is highly contagious. Despite its efforts to nurse the animals back to health, the Ontario County Humane Society on Tuesday announced six of the dogs have passed away.

Authorities charged Dawn Cameron and Dustin Bush, both of Geneva, with 11 counts of animal cruelty two weeks ago. Additional charges against the pair are pending.

After being closed to help prevent the spread of the virus to other animals and to be able to do a deep clean, the Happy Tails Shelter plans to reopen on Thursday.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
