Six dogs rescued from ‘deplorable,’ ‘filthy’ Las Vegas apartment following eviction

Six dogs were rescued from an apartment in Las Vegas this week after the tenants, who were facing eviction, abandoned the unit, according to an animal shelter.

The Nevada SPCA responded after five bulldogs and one pitbull were found in the apartment on Wednesday, May 7.

Apartment management inspected the unit after the tenants turned in their keys. No food or water was left behind, according to the organization, and the unit was “left in deplorable conditions.”

Nevada SPCA staff and volunteers mobilized to help the apartment management bring the dogs to safety.

“These animals were living in extremely filthy conditions,” animal care director Megan Waldron said in a statement Friday. “We are committed to ensuring that these dogs are now safe and will receive the care they need.”

All six dogs are receiving treatment and will be spayed or neutered before they are rehomed. They are currently not available for adoption, but the Nevada SPCA says it will share future updates via social media.

Clark County Animal Protective Services is investigating the case.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
