Silver Linings Rescue Ranch has partnered with Central Oregon Veterans Outreach (COVO) throughout November to promote senior dog adoptions while raising funds for local veterans.
For each senior dog adopted, the ranch is donating $100 to COVO, which provides critical services to veterans in the area.
A Senior Dog Adoption Event was held Saturday at the Eastside Bend Pet Express, showcasing adoptable senior dogs and raising awareness for both the rescue and COVO’s programs.
Before the event, Silver Linings had already raised $700, with donations continuing throughout the month.
In addition to the event, a giving tree is set up at the Eastside Bend Pet Express, featuring ornaments with items needed for the rescue. Visitors can select an ornament to support the dogs at the rescue ranch.
On Saturday, November 30th, the organization invites the public to another event, Pictures with Santa, at the same location. A professional photographer will be taking photos of pets for $35 with all proceeds benefiting Silver Linings.
