Security camera catches moment dog brings his toy friends out to the sun

Security camera footage of a sausage dog bringing his friends out into the sun has gone viral, leaving viewers in hysterics.

Waldo (@waldosmyname1) shared the video of her dachshund dragging his soft bear toys out onto the sunny terrace. “Waldo bringing all his friends out for some fun. Now it’s time to relax,” the owner posted on the overlaid text of the footage, which has garnered over 41,200 likes and almost 300,000 views.

Waldo hopped on his little legs to bring all eight of his soft bears out to bask in the sunshine. “Here he goes again! He’s so adorable when he does this,” the TikTok poster wrote in the caption.

The adorable video melted the hearts of internet viewers. “Omgosh [Oh my gosh] the little hippy hops over the threshold. Cutest thing EVER,” posted Stacey. “This is just the most adorable thing ever,” added Kimmie.

“The cutest and very busy little guy making sure all his buddies are with him,” wrote Selena. “The way he hippity hopped,” Shannon commented.

One user asked if he took all his friends back inside after he had finished sunbathing. His owner responded that this was her job.

Dachshunds are curious and friendly little dogs who are highly affectionate with bold personalities, according to the American Kennel Club.

Waldo certainly matches his breed’s personality description, and his adorable trit-trot is due to his little legs. Owners have to be careful that they do not jump, since, due to their stumpy limbs, dachshunds can easily damage their backs, according to The People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals (PDSA).

Intervertebral disc disease (IVDD) is common in dachshunds. The condition is caused by the slipping or rupturing of the discs between vertebrae, leading to severe pain or paralysis.

Immediate veterinary attention is necessary if symptoms such as a reluctance to move, a hunched back, or sudden paralysis occur, according to VIDA Veterinary Care, based in Denver, Colorado.

The pint-size pooches are also susceptible to hip and elbow dysplasia, a disease that stunts the full development of joints and leads to arthritis. The sooner the problem is recognized by owners, the better vets can treat it.
