
PORTLAND, Maine — The Portland Sea Dogs made a triumphant return home, kicking off a week-long series against the Hartford Yard Goats with a thrilling comeback victory.
In the top of the fourth inning, the Yard Goats took an early lead with Cole Carrigg’s two-run single to left, putting them ahead 3-0. However, the Sea Dogs’ defense shone as catcher Ronald Rosario delivered an impressive play to end the inning.
The Sea Dogs began their comeback in the bottom of the fourth. Allan Castro hit an RBI double to left, bringing Marvin Alcantar home and putting the Sea Dogs on the scoreboard. Tyler Miller followed with an RBI single to center, driving in Castro.
The Sea Dogs continued their momentum, scoring six unanswered runs to secure a 6-3 victory in the series opener.
