Sea Dogs rally to defeat Yard Goats in series opener

PORTLAND, Maine — The Portland Sea Dogs made a triumphant return home, kicking off a week-long series against the Hartford Yard Goats with a thrilling comeback victory.

In the top of the fourth inning, the Yard Goats took an early lead with Cole Carrigg’s two-run single to left, putting them ahead 3-0. However, the Sea Dogs’ defense shone as catcher Ronald Rosario delivered an impressive play to end the inning.

The Sea Dogs began their comeback in the bottom of the fourth. Allan Castro hit an RBI double to left, bringing Marvin Alcantar home and putting the Sea Dogs on the scoreboard. Tyler Miller followed with an RBI single to center, driving in Castro.

The Sea Dogs continued their momentum, scoring six unanswered runs to secure a 6-3 victory in the series opener.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
