Sea Dogs rally past Flying Squirrels in first game of doubleheader

Christian Koss doubled home the go-ahead run in the sixth inning as the Richmond Flying Squirrels rallied for a 4-3 win over the Portland Sea Dogs in the opener of an Eastern League doubleheader Friday at Hadlock Field.

Tyler McDonough’s two-run single in the second inning gave the Sea Dogs an early 2-0 lead. Richmond went ahead with three runs in the fifth, but Portland tied it in the bottom of the fifth when Kyle Teel’s sacrifice fly drove in Roman Anthony.

Bryan Mata pitched three scoreless innings in another rehab start, allowing three hits and one walk while striking out two.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
