Charles McAdoo doubled home automatic runner RJ Schreck in the 10th inning, lifting the New Hampshire Fisher Cats to a 4-3 win over the Portland Sea Dogs in an Eastern League game Friday night at Hadlock Field.
Yohendrick Pinango hit two RBI singles and Robert Brooks lofted a solo home run for the Fisher Cats, who erased a 3-1 deficit with two runs in the seventh.
Four New Hampshire pitchers combined on a four-hitter, retiring the last 16 Sea Dogs batters. The game ended on a play at the plate, as pinch runner Caden Rose was thrown out trying to score on Corey Rosier’s lineout to left field.
Portland jump ahead early, as Mikey Romero led off the bottom of the first with a triple and scored on Jhostynxon Garcia’s sacrifice fly.
After New Hampshire tied it in the second inning, Blaze Jordan hit a leadoff double in the bottom of the fourth, went to third on an error and scored on a sacrifice fly by Luis Ravelo.
Portland extended its lead in the fifth. After singles by Karson Simas and Rosier and a double steal, a balk allowed Simas to score.
Sea Dogs starting pitcher David Sandlin struck out six in four innings. He walked three and gave up two hits and a run.
