Sacramento County dog rescued from rising water now faces euthanasia

NOT TAKE THEM BACK. THIS WAS THE SCENE EARLIER THIS YEAR IN SACRAMENTO COUNTY, AS FIREFIGHTERS WORKED TO SAVE TWO DOGS AFTER BEING ABANDONED NEAR RISING WATER IN GALT. NOW, ONE OF THOSE DOGS IS AT RISK OF BEING EUTHANIZED. RIGHT NOW, THE TWO YEAR OLD GERMAN SHEPHERD DOMDOM IS ITS NAME IS AT THE BRADSHAW ANIMAL SHELTER IN KCRA 3’S. CATALINA ESTRADA IS HERE WITH HOW PEOPLE CAN HELP. YEAH, WELL, THERE ARE SEVERAL WAYS PEOPLE CAN HELP. AMONG THEM FOSTERING, ADOPTING OR VOLUNTEERING TO WALK THESE DOGS AT THE SHELTER. DOOM. DOOM IS ONE OF MORE THAN 300 DOGS CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR THEIR FOREVER HOMES. HIS FIRST ARRIVED. HE FIRST ARRIVED AT THE SHELTER FEBRUARY 14TH AFTER FIREFIGHTERS RESCUED HIM FROM A DANGEROUS SITUATION. THE GERMAN SHEPHERD AND ANOTHER DOG WERE FOUND TIED TO A TREE NEXT TO RISING WATER. NOW THIS HAPPENED NEAR THE DRY CREEK PRESERVE. NOW, THE SHELTER OFFICIALS TELL US THEY’RE FACING A SIGNIFICANT INTAKE OF ANIMALS, WHICH PUT A STRAIN ON RESOURCES AND SPACE. THEY’RE ASKING THE COMMUNITY’S HELP TO SAVE DOGS THAT, LIKE DOOM. DOOM, ARE AT RISK OF BEING EUTHANIZED. DOOM. DOOM IS ONE OF THE ANIMALS THAT IS CURRENTLY ON FINAL PLEA. AND WHAT FINAL PLEA IS, IS KIND OF OUR LAST OUTREACH FOR GETTING THESE THIS DOG OUT OF THE SHELTER AND THE DOGS THAT ARE PUT ON FINAL PLEA ARE USUALLY DOGS THAT ARE DECLINING MENTALLY IN THE SHELTER ENVIRONMENT. AND DOOM DOOMS FINAL DAY WAS SCHEDULED FOR THIS WEDNESDAY WEDNESDAY, BUT HAS NOW BEEN EXTENDED UNTIL APRIL 2ND.
