RV fire near West Old Ajo Highway claims lives of three dogs

TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) – A fire involving an RV near West Old Ajo Highway led to the death of three dogs on March 28, 2025.

The Drexel Heights Fire District crews responded to multiple reports of black smoke coming from a camper across from the Tucson Trap and Skeet Club. Upon arrival, Engine 421 found the camper fully engulfed in flames.

Firefighters quickly deployed a handline and made an aggressive attack on the blaze. Their swift actions successfully contained the fire to the camper.

During a primary search of the structure, crews discovered three dogs inside. Sadly, the dogs did not survive the fire.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported among firefighters or civilians. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
