UTICA — Over the past few months, Utica’s stray dog population has been handled under the new contractual agreement between the city and Canastota-based Wanderers’ Rest Humane Association. On Tuesday, Frankfort-based Rover’s Do Over, a non-profit, no-kill animal rescue organization, announced it has joined the city’s efforts to help further assist in improving animal welfare and community engagement.
Rover’s Do Over was established in January of this year, and in that time the organization said it has successfully placed over 100 dogs in need.
