Roper Park East Dog Run to temporarily close March 13

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The Parks and Recreation Department announced Wednesday that the Roper Park East Dog Run, located at north 7th and Adams streets, will be closed from 6 a.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday for grounds maintenance.

For dog owners searching for a different location, other Lincoln dog runs include:

  • Bowling Lake Dog Run, located at NW 44th and West Cumming streets, features a one-acre space for dogs of all sizes.
  • Mahoney Park Dog Run, located near North 84th and Adams streets, features a four-acre space for large dogs and a 1 acre area for small dogs.
  • Rickman’s Run at Holmes Lake Park, located on the east side of south 70th Street in Holmes Lake Park, offers a 22.25 acre space for large dogs and a 1.45 acre area for small dogs.
  • Stransky Dog Run at Peterson Park, located at 4419 Southwood Drive, features a 2.55 acre space for large dogs and a 1 acre area for small dogs.
