EUGENE, Ore. — Wednesday night’s storm led to two people and their dogs getting trapped in their tents early Thursday morning.
Eugene Springfield Fire was called in for a rescue underneath the Oak Patch Overpass at the Fern Ridge Path off W. 11th in Eugene.
ESF says the fast-moving water was rising to the tent openings, trapping the individuals and animals inside.
The rescue team used a ladder to turn the tents and get everyone – including their dogs – to safety.
There were no injuries reported.
