Rescued Dogs Reunite At Bedford County Humane Society

Dozens of the dogs rescued from a single home in Bedford County a year ago were reunited for a special event.

The last time these dogs were together, their conditions were much different.

Leaders with the Bedford County Society say once lived in the home of Niall and Renee Piper, who were charged in March after a months long animal cruelty investigation.

While nearly 100 dogs were rescued last New Year’s Eve, officials with the Humane Society say that each one has been able to find a new home.

One owner says that while still isn’t ready to be around large groups, she still wanted to show her support.

“So we have a lot of layers to uncover with his trauma. He was afraid of doorways, afraid of people, and my dogs at home helped really socialize him and teach him what it’s like to be a dog. But he still has a long way to go.”

“They look 110% better than they did when they left here. That, and they are doing amazing in their homes, they’re doing wonderful in their new home”

Shelter officials say they are proud how far the dogs have come

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
