What difference a year can make. This time last year, we were all hoping for rain. Fast-forward to 2024 and the roads can’t seem to fully drain before another deluge of rain fills them up again.
Sunday was an excellent example of what residents face this week: water-laden or saturated grounds, storm sewers filled with debris from Hurricane Beryl a mere two weeks ago, and significant rains in the forecast. Forecasters are pointing to a half-foot or so in some areas.
