
ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — An arrest was made and a cache of evidence linked to a dog fighting operation, including medical supplies and firearms, was found during a raid in an Escambia County home.
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office (ECSO) said that in collaboration with Escambia County Animal Welfare, they arrested Jerney Purifoy.
Following Purifoy’s arrest, the ECSO SWAT Team executed a search warrant at a residence on Seamarge Drive. Inside, they reported uncovering an array of evidence linked to dog fighting, including IV bags, wound care supplies, training manuals, and firearms—a rifle and a handgun.

According to ECSO, the dogs involved in this had already been rescued and seized by Escambia County Animal Welfare prior to the search.
