Oklahoma City Animal Welfare sends this information as posted below:
To celebrate National Dog Party Day, Be Kind Rescue Dogs Foundation is sponsoring the Oklahoma City Animal Shelter’s adoption fees for all dogs on Saturday, June 21.
The shelter invites the community to join the event and help dogs find their forever homes.
The day will begin with a walk featuring shelter dogs at 10 a.m., followed by adoptions starting at noon. Attendees unable to adopt are encouraged to take pictures and share them on social media to help promote dog adoptions. Hawaiian attire is encouraged to celebrate alongside the shelter dogs.
“National Dog Party Day is a special day for dogs across the country,” Oklahoma City Animal Shelter Superintendent Ronnie Schlabs said. “We’re grateful to Be Kind Rescue Dogs for sponsoring all adoption fees on June 21 and helping many of our amazing dogs enjoy the best party of all — a homecoming.”
The sponsorship will help more dogs find loving homes faster and open kennel space for other animals in need. The OKC Animal Shelter, 2811 SE 29th St, is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with pet visits and adoptions beginning at noon.
