Portland Police seek information after dogs shot on SE 60th Avenue

Portland Police say two dogs were injured following a shooting Sunday night. Officers were dispatched to the 7100 block of Southeast 60th Avenue on the reports of a shooting near the Brentwood City Park.

Police say a resident was out with their two dogs when someone from inside a vehicle fired shots.

“I was sitting watching TV in my back room about, you know, blocking a half away and I heard a series of pops,” one neighbor told KATU.

“The dogs’ owner was not struck, but the two dogs were injured,” Mike Benner with PPB said. “Initially, it appears one of the dogs was shot, the other hit by shrapnel.”

Both dogs were taken to an animal hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening, officials said.

Police say a vehicle was also struck by gunfire. The suspect or suspects left the area before police arrived.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Portland Police at crimetips@police.portlandoregon.gov and reference case number 25-16916.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
