Portillo’s—a fast-casual Chicago-style street food restaurant—will soon be holding a grand opening ceremony for a new location near Willowbrook Mall.
A closer look
The Willowbrook location is one of the brand’s first “Restaurant of the Future” designs and features a pickup area and double drive-thru lane, according to a Jan. 7 news release. The 6,000-square-foot building will sport a rustic, Southwest garage theme and offers seating for about 130 guests inside plus seating for an additional 40 guests on the outdoor patio.
Craving hot dogs?
Portillo’s offers a menu of Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches and char-grilled burgers. A ribbon cutting will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 14, and the restaurant will open at 10 a.m., per the release.
