Police in Lancaster County say they’re looking for the person who poisoned two dogs, killing one of them.According to East Hempfield Township, a resident in the 3000 block of Todd Lane reported they let the dogs out into the backyard on Sept. 25 and noticed them eating a frozen chunk of an unknown substance along the fence line.Shortly after the dogs were brought back inside, the animals became lethargic and started vomiting.The owner took the dogs to a veterinarian. One dog survived, but the other didn’t.Police said the vet clinic wasn’t able to determine what the dogs had ingested.When the resident returned home later that day, they said they found nails scattered in the driveway. The person had reported a similar incident to police on Sept. 10.Anyone with information is asked to call Officer Jordan Geisler at 717-898-3103 or submit a tip online.
