A Scranton man whose dogs police say injured a man in the city Friday evening faces charges.
Officers responded to the 1500 block of Linden Street at 7:41 p.m. for the report of a man being attacked by two loose dogs, police said.
Once on scene, officers found the victim — identified as Suresh Patel — lying in the road with multiple dog bite wounds on his legs, feet and chest, according to a criminal complaint. Patel was transported to Geisinger Community Medical Center for an evaluation, officers said.
After determining the dogs belonged at a residence at 328 Prescott Ave., officers went to the house and found two children home alone, police said. Their father — Marc Richardson — arrived shortly after and told officers his dogs were loose before he brought them inside when he went to a store, according to the criminal complaint.

The dogs were contained inside the home while officers were on scene, police said.
Police advised Richardson his loose dogs injured someone, who needed medical attention at the hospital, officers said.
Officers also discovered Richardson had an active warrant from the Lackawanna County sheriff’s office, police said.
Police charged Richardson, 31, with recklessly endangering another person and dogs running at large.
Richardson was released on $25,000 unsecured bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 30 at 9:30 a.m.
