Police: Man charged after dogs found abandoned inside ‘freezing’ Upper Yoder Twp. home

Authorities say a Cambria County man is facing animal cruelty charges after his two dogs were allegedly found in freezing conditions.

On Monday, police in Upper Yoder Township say they began receiving complaints of two dogs living without heat in 63-year-old Dorsey Slagle’s home along Venus Avenue.

According to the affidavit, police served a search warrant on the house on Wednesday and rescued the two dogs.

Police say that the inside temperature of the house was 26 degrees at the time, and the animals were found without food.

Police noted that frozen water, urine and feces were also found throughout the home.

Online court records show that Slagle is charged with multiple offenses, including felonies for aggravated cruelty to animals.

He was arraigned Wednesday night and is free on unsecured bail.

The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
