WEST RICHLAND, Wash. – The West Richland Police Department (WRPD) is asking the public for help in locating a reported male and female suspect who tossed a dog on Dec. 30.
According to WRPD, at approximately 12:30-1 p.m., a black lab was tossed out of a 4-door, light-colored sedan in the 4000 block of Northlake Drive in West Richland.
The lab spent 5 days in the cold and would flee from approaching people. The dog appears to be about 1 year old and skinny, according to WRPD.
Lucias, a Corgi/Heeler mix used by animal control to contain “trauma dogs”, assisted in containing the lab. Lucias has helped safely contain about 40 dogs in similar situations.
Anyone with ring video footage of the pictured neighborhood below or information about those responsible is asked to contact animal control at 509-967-7112 and reference WRPD 25-0082.
