Police investigating death of 2-year-old girl attacked by 3 Rottweiler dogs in N. Houston

Police said investigators determined the dogs attacked the girl while inside the home which is the location of the babysitter.

HOUSTON — Police are investigating the death of a 2-year-old girl after she was attacked by three Rottweiler dogs at a north Houston home on Monday.

This happened at 12:20 p.m. at a home on Milwaukee Street near Gold Street just inside the 610 North Loop.

The identity and cause of death of the young girl is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. 

Houston police said officers responded to a vicious animal call at the home and found that the child had been attacked by the three dogs. Houston firefighters also responded to the scene and took her to Texas Children’s Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Police said investigators determined the dogs attacked the girl while inside the home which is the location of the babysitter.

The dogs were seized by City of Houston BARC. They when then euthanized.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600.
