Boston police identified a woman who sustained fatal injuries after being attacked by her dog on Monday afternoon as a 73-year-old resident of Roxbury.
Jeriline McGinnis was one of two residents of 35 Dennison St. in Roxbury wounded in a dog attack Monday afternoon. A pair of Boston police officers were injured in the response and one officer shot their gun at the dog.
Four dogs were taken into police custody from the Roxbury property, Boston Police Deputy Superintendent Paul McLaughlin told reporters at the scene.
Police have not said what breed the dog that caused the injuries was.
