Pink’s celebrates 85 years on La Brea with ‘Chili Dogs for Charity’ – Beverly Press & Park Labrea News

Pink’s Hot Dogs is celebrating its 85th anniversary from Nov. 8-12, marking eight-and-half-decades of serving hungry customers near the corner of La Brea and Melrose avenue.

Pink’s is holding “Chili Dogs for Charity” in honor of the milestone, offering its chili dogs for 85¢ for 85 minutes starting at 8:05 p.m. each night from Nov. 8-12. The celebration also includes special guests including Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass on Nov. 8, comedian and actor George Lopez on Nov. 10, comedian Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias on Nov. 11 and actor Henry Winkler on Nov. 12. A 1939 Buick Century sedan will be parked at Pink’s on Nov. 9 to celebrate the year the stand was founded. Owner Richard Pink will donate proceeds from sales of the chili dogs to a charity selected by the special guest each night.
