About 50 police dogs and their handlers converged on Lewiston last week for the annual Idaho Police Canine Association Conference.
The statewide conference allowed law enforcement officers to participate in live-action drills with their dogs in empty structures around town in the dogs’ specialty areas: drug detection, bomb detection and patrol.
The conference ended Friday with a competition in the areas of detection and apprehension.
