PETA offers reward for information on who dumped dogs in taped-up boxes outside of local Giant Eagle

WHITE OAK, Pa. — PETA is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that helps lead to the arrest of whoever is responsible for dumping two small dogs in taped-up cardboard boxes outside of the Giant Eagle in White Oak.

On Friday, a good Samaritan noticed the boxes moving and took the two adult female miniature pinschers to White Oak Animal Safe Haven.

The two dogs have been named Flora and Fable. The shelter said they are recovering from their trauma and will soon see a vet for an exam and vaccines before being put up for adoption.

“These vulnerable dogs were boxed up and discarded like unwanted Christmas gifts, and it’s only luck that a caring person spotted them,” says PETA President Ingrid Newkirk. “There may be other animals in the perpetrator’s possession, so PETA asks anyone with information to come forward immediately—other lives may depend on it.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact White Oak Animal Safe Haven at 412-672-8901.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
