Person hospitalized, dogs rescued in Toledo apartment fire

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – One person was hospitalized and several dogs were rescued after an apartment fire in Toledo Tuesday morning.

It happened at Luxury Gatehouse Apartments on Tremainsville Road before 9:00 a.m. on Nov. 12. Fire officials at the scene told 13 Action News a female victim was taken to an area hospital for smoke inhalation and multiple dogs were rescued from the fire.

Officials went on to say the fire started in one apartment, but at least six units at the apartments were affected by the fire. Everyone was able to make it out.

Investigators are still working to figure out what may have sparked it.
