ZANESVILLE, OH- The Muskingum County Library System is bringing high flying fun to the community tomorrow with a visit from the Performance Dogs of Ohio.
These energetic canines, known for their agility stunts and halftime shows, are putting on three free shows open to all ages. Audience members have the chance to be asked to participate with the dogs.
“With our events that we do, we make them all free to be able to allow anybody to come because a lot of people might not be able to travel out of Zanesville, or travel to other places, or be able to see events like this because, Performace Dogs for example, they do a lot of halftime shows at big games and stuff and that gets a little bit expensive, so we were able to get them to come in for free so that anybody can come and enjoy the show,” said Katie Merritt, M.C.L.S. Youth Service Manager.
In addition to the show, attendees can earn extra tickets for the library’s summer reading program.
“Also, Summer Reading, if you haven’t registered yet you can still do that, we can backtrack to the beginning of June, so if you started reading in June we can track up to the point of when you registered which could be today, and then by attending our programs you can go onto the Beanstack page or let us know, and you’ll get extra tickets for attending a program, so by going to the Performance Dogs you can get tickets towards really big prizes just by showing up,” said Merritt.
Tomorrow’s shows will be at 10:30 a.m. at Ohio University Zanesville in their green space, 2:00 p.m. at the Roseville Branch Library, and 5:00 p.m. at the Dresden Branch Library.
