A pedestrian was seriously injured, and a dog she was walking was killed Friday morning when they were hit by a vehicle on Cape Cod, Mashpee police said.At about 7:20 a.m., Mashpee police and fire responded to a report of a crash on Job’s Fishing Road. First responders found a woman with severe injuries lying in the northbound travel lane of the roadway, police said. The dog the woman was walking at the time of the crash was killed. The woman was taken to Falmouth Hospital.The vehicle involved in the crash stayed at the scene.The crash is under investigation.
