Pedestrian, dog killed after Denton crash

A pedestrian and a dog were killed after they were hit by a car that had just been involved in an accident.

What We Know: The crash happened in the area of University Boulevard and Ruddell Street in Denton on Wednesday evening.

Denton Police say vehicles were involved in a collision and one of the cars then hit the pedestrian.

At 7 p.m., police announced the male pedestrian had died after being taken to the hospital.

A dog was also killed in the incident.

All drivers remained at the scene of the crash.

Roads were closed in the area while investigators worked the scene.

What We Don’t Know: Police have not identified the victim or given a possible cause of the crash.
