Parks and Recreation Department promoting city dog parks with “Bark at the Park”

LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) – The City of Laredo is inviting all dog owners to a special event. On Saturday, July 13, the “Bark at the Park” event is helping to showcase all the amenities dogs and dog owners can take advantage of. As part of that initiative, city officials also say that the one-day event aims to promote dog parks all across the city.

The event will be held at K-9 Cito’s Dog Park located at 1305 Quail Creek Road.

Eddie Millan, with Laredo Parks and Recreation, details some of the festivities on the day’s agenda. They include a “beach” themed dog costume contest, dog demonstrations by law enforcement agencies, and free adoptions by the Laredo Animal Care Services, among other activities.

The fun gets underway from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and for more information, you can call 956-729-4600.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
