Parents and dog dead after Colorado highway crash; children recovering

BOULDER, Colo. (KKTV) – Two parents and a family dog died in a crash on Highway 36 in Boulder on Friday morning.

Colorado State Patrol said they responded to a single-car rollover crash around 9:46 a.m. on Highway 36 near Lefthand Canyon Drive.

Troopers learned a Jeep driving north on the highway drove through a grass median, rolled over and stopped in the highway’s southbound lanes. Two 43-year-old adults from Castle Rock, their 11 and 16-year-old children and a family dog were inside.

Troopers said both adults and the dog were killed. The adults died on the scene and the dog was taken to a veterinary and put down due to its injuries. The children were recovering in a hospital from their injuries.

The highway was closed in both directions while troopers investigated.

Troopers said they learned the male driver was asleep at the wheel and the woman was not wearing a seatbelt when the crash occurred.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
